DataPlayer gives slower machines a breath of musical air
By Chris Williams. Published: 11th Dec 10:30:00 | Permalink | PrintableJohn Duffell, who recently helped create the IRC #riscos channel, has developed a sample player for RISC OS. Below is the usenet announcement John posted:
A new sample player has been released called DataPlayer.
It is written to be fast and reliable, it will probably be of most use to people who use machines which can’t play mp3s and want to listen to music off their computers, e.g. RiscStation/Mico owners.
It can play the output from dmpa, and also cd tracks copied using SampleCD or AudioFS. A front end is supplied as well as the module with documented API.
