Tim O’Shea and Rosie Healy who will perform in St Mary’s Church of Ireland

A FREE of charge feast of traditional Irish music, song and story will keep an open audience enthralled at Killarney House and Gardens next Saturday courtesy of the Spraoi Chiarraí performance collective.

The sixth of seven free concerts will commence at 2.00pm and it will feature the talents of Brid O’Shea from Farranfore on accordion and Breda Kelliher from Fossa on flute and they will be joined by Spraoi Chiarraí producer/director Tim O’Shea on guitar, vocals and bodhrán.

A special guest, Heim Henschelmann from Germany, will also perform.

Open to all, the family entertainment is sponsored this year by Kerry County Council’s Arts Office, Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Kerry Gems Publishing.

Meanwhile, later on Saturday, Tim O’Shea will link up with Glenflesk-based musician and vocalist Rosie Healy for a free night of Irish folk and traditional music in St Mary’s Church of Ireland in Killarney (8.00pm).

The performance will feature new music recently recorded and released on their new CD, Another Skin Too Few, which remembers some of Kerry’s finest musicians, sadly no longer with us. The gifted musicians remembered will Con Durham, Dublin and Dingle, John Cronin, Aghadoe and New York and Stephen Carroll, Maulykevane.
