Gemma Collins and Naughty Boy’s plans to unleash a single together have been thwarted by the coronavirus pandemic.
However, television commitments and the global health pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus outbreak have thrown a spanner in the works when it comes to releasing the tune.
Gem and Naughty Boy had previously planned to unleash a track last Christmas – but work commitments forced them to abandon those plans as well, with the new postponement said to be a “deja vu” for the pair.
Gemma Collins and Naughty Boy have been planning to release music together
A source told The Sun: “Gemma and Shahid have been forced to cancel any plans to put out a song this summer.
“Gemma had been so keen to see if they could get the song out this summer but it’s been a nightmare. She has been so busy filming her TV shows, and Shahid’s schedule is always packed.
“On top of that, coronavirus happened so any thoughts of getting together had to go in the bin.”
Gemma’s time on the charts will have to wait
The source also went on to suggest Naughty Boy had been advised to abandon music plans with Gemma altogether, fearing it could damage his music credentials.
The British DJ has previously enjoyed chart success by working with musicians and singers including Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith, Tinie Tempah, and American superstar Beyoncé.
However, Naughty Boy himself is said to be keen to work with The GC regardless after finding appreciation for her voice and talent.
Meanwhile, Gemma has been thrilling fans during lockdown with her reality show, Gemma Collins: Diva on Lockdown.
