Presented with Apple Music, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute’s Polska Music programme and Medici TV, this year’s Awards Ceremony will be streamed live from the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms by Medici TV at 6.30pm (UK time) on October 16.

We have published a special digital magazine (free to access) containing the original Gramophone reviews of all 60 of the shortlisted recordings. On September 11, the October issue of Gramophone will reveal the top three in each category and the 10 recording category winners will be announced online of October 1.

This year’s ceremony will feature the fine Polish ensemble Arte dei Suonatori (who won the 2003 Baroque Instrumental category for their Channel Classics recording of Vivaldi’s La stravaganza with our current Artist of the Year, Rachel Podger). Gramophone’s Editor-in-Chief, James Jolly, will be joined by the soprano Pretty Yende to host the evening which will include performances by one of last year’s winners, the contralto Delphine Galou (2018’s Recital category) as well as by our Artist of the Year, Young Artist, Lifetime Achievement winner and, a new category for 2019, Concept Album winner, as well as some of the individual category winners.

So, in the meantime, enjoy the 60 recordings revealed in our digital magazine, listen to the recordings (and you can also try to Apple Music with a three-month free trial) and decide which are your own category winners before we reveal our choices!
