Multi-genre Mele to sing along to for all

Waianae, Hawaii – March 13th, 2021 – Multi-genre artist FrannyVee, released a new single this month on March 13th, 2021, titled “Summertime.” A remake, “Summertime,” is a bluesy song in the first half and follows the original in several ways. However, the second half of this track leans more towards Jazz, with the lyrics reminding the listener of a Hawaiian summer. Darry Aquino performs the upright bass, and Scott Villiger does the clarinet.

For FrannyVee, Hawaiian culture holds a lot of importance in her life. However, the artist is very clear about making her musical career inclusive of other genres and not limiting it to her Hawaiian background. Consequently, the artist’s work is not niche and can be enjoyed by diverse audiences. Her musical career up till now is a testament to her dedication to dabbling in multiple genres.

Early in the year, on January 5th, the artist released an emotionally charged track titled, ‘Beneath the Misty Ko’olau.’ The track has a painful break-up story behind it which the artist decided to use as inspiration – a move she thinks of as a victory against that sorrow. The instruments include a steel guitar, which Greg Sardinha has done, to whom the artist is enormously thankful for contributing. Her other song, “Tobacco Road,” is based on her childhood in Hawaii, which she fondly recalls as a long-gone way of life. The song is also a dedication to her father, whom the artist considers her hero.

The song “O Wau” stands out as it is purely a Hawaiian composition, made for someone searching for the “right” one. The track “When I Can,” a country-rock, is an old composition written in the 2000s. A cheerful song, it is about hanging out with the ones you care for and love. FannyVee has done all the vocals, while Zach Castro has done the harmonies.

FrannyVee wants all her listeners to enjoy all the emotions life has to give.
