On Sunday, Nov. 24, the Mitchell Area Concert Association gave Mitchell and the surrounding area a huge gift in the form of a violin recital by Timothy Chooi, a rising star in the world of concert violinists.

The gift was multiplied many times over by MACA’s generosity in allowing area string students (accompanied by a parent) to attend the recital with no admission charge. Several carloads of string players from Huron public schools’ orchestra program plus students from Dakota Wesleyan’s LyricWood and LyricWood Cadet string orchestras, representing several local communities attended. It was a wonderful experience!

MACA, we appreciate your generosity in furthering the music education of our area’s students. This is how we bring up the next generation of music lovers.
