Singer Lily Allen claims her record label failed to do anything when she told them she had been sexually assaulted by an industry figure.
The attack allegedly took place on a work trip to the Caribbean in 2016, with Allen reporting it to Warner music bosses last year, having previously not wanted to ‘make a fuss’.
After a night of partying with industry executives Allen recalls how she passed out in the alleged attacker’s bed and awoke to him touching her – and believes he was trying to have sex with her.

Detailing the attack in an interview with Miquita Oliver on The Next Episode podcast Allen said: ‘We got to my hotel. I couldn’t find my room keys. So he was like, “Well, why don’t you sleep in my bed while I go and get the keys or whatever”. So I passed out in his bed.

‘I woke up and he was in my bed naked slapping my bum.’
When she later discussed her experiences with Max Lousada, a chief executive at her record label, she claims that she was told that he had not known of any incident until reading her autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly.
Speaking to The Next Episode podcast Allen claimed that when she then asked Mr Lousada if he would follow up the allegations he said ‘No’.
Last year, Lily accused Warner Music of neglecting her career ever since she accused an executive of sexual assault in her autobiography.
She said at the time: ‘My record label’s job is to promote and distribute my material and get me on to TV and on to the radio.
‘None of these things have happened with this album campaign.
‘My record label have a list of priority acts, pretty much all of which have a link to the person who did something to me.’
Allen did not disclose the name of her attacker but claims ‘most of the music industry knows who it is’ – the alleged attacker is believed to still work with Warner, reports The BBC.

A label spokesman for Warner Music said:’These allegations are appalling. We take accusations of sexual misconduct extremely seriously and investigate claims that are raised with us. We’re very focused on enforcing our Code of Conduct and providing a safe and professional environment at all times.’
Allen is working on her last album for the label who she signed with in 2013, she has spoken out now to protect younger female artists working in the industry.

Lily Allen’s representatives, Inside/Out music publicity agency declined to comment.
