Music was the major theme of Houston’s weekend (Aug. 9 – 11)

Houstonians were engrossed in the sound of music at a handful of events this past weekend.

Friday, a diverse crowd of art lovers and music fans made their way to the Brown Foundation Inc. Plaza for “Music on the Plaza“. The Museum of Fine Arts event hosted local indie-pop band Wild Moccasins and conceptual artist Emily Fens.

Texas country music star Cody Johnson kept the tempo rolling when he returned to Houston for a Toyota Center performance Saturday. His last visit was a showstopping performance at RodeoHouston 2019.

And despite a very hot Sunday, a large crowd of bike-riding Beyoncé fans cruised around some Houston haunts all the while listening to a playlist of her greatest hits. The “Bike & Brunch” ended at Axelrad with – you guessed it- brunch.
