On that day a young lady called Katinka Mitchell sitting in the audience was so captivated by what she heard that she decided she had to become an organist and play the fine St James’ instrument.

After two years of intense training and practice she is now proud to be one of the musicians performing at Organfest 2!

Reverend Heather Atkinson, vicar of St James’, said: “We feel that Organfest is our unique contribution to the musical heritage of the Wirral and beyond.

“Whether you are passionate about organ recitals, or just like the thought of relaxing in a historic building listening to beautiful music, this is the event for you.”
