A while ago, the American Music Awards announced that Taylor Swift was to be gifted the Artist of the Decade honor at the upcoming ceremony, which was going to up her total career count. On top of that, she was nominated for a number of competitive prizes, as is usually the case when it comes to the superstar. Now that the show has come and gone for another year, the country-turned-pop star has added even more shine to her trophy shelf, and by doing so, she’s made history.

With six new prizes to her name, Taylor Swift is now the most-awarded person in American Music Awards history. The chart-topper has taken home an incredible 29 honors throughout her career, including a handful of non-competitive awards. With half a dozen new pieces of hardware in her hands (or on the ground next to her, since holding six AMAs is logistically very tough), Swift has passed previous record holder Michael Jackson, who led the charge until this past Sunday evening. His total still stands at 24.

At Sunday’s ceremony, Swift tacked on Artist of the Decade as well as the following five competitive categories: Artist of the Year, Favorite Music Video, Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock, Favorite Album – Pop/Rock and Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary. Swift swept every vertical she was nominated in.

As if running the show when it comes to total trophies won wasn’t enough, Swift moves up as the most-awarded musician in a number of categories as well, which isn’t surprising. She has collected the most Artist of the Year honors (five), and nobody is even close to her record. She’s also tied for the most wins in both Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock (with Whitney Houston and Olivia Newton-John; four wins apiece) and Favorite Album – Pop/Rock (with Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber; three wins apiece).

Most of the artists who come even close to matching Swift’s winning total are long past their award-winning days, so she doesn’t face much competition, at least not for a while.
