VAN WERT — The Van Wert Civic Theatre will present the musical “Assassins” at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, Friday, Sept. 27, Sunday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Oct. 3, Friday, Oct. 4, Saturday, Oct. 5 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 6 at the theater, 118 S. Race St., Van Wert.
Assassins, featuring the music of Stephen Sondheim, merges the stories of nine individuals who assassinated or attempted to assassinate United States presidents. The show bends time and space to bring these characters together, revealing a dark side of the American experience.
