Dallas MoorePhoto: Beth ChildsHappy album release day to Cincinnati Outlaw Country music hero Dallas Moore, whose new album, Tryin’ to Be a Blessing, was released today via Indiana’s Sol Records.

Just like Moore’s last album, 2018’s Mr. Honky Tonk, Blessing was produced by Dean Miller, son of the legendary Roger Miller and a fellow Country singer/songwriter.

In the lead-up to the album, Moore dropped a trio of singles. In early August, the touching “Mama & Daddy” (dedicated to his folks, who both passed away last year) was released, premiering on the Taste of Country website. In late August, Billboard premiered the music video for “Everything But You,” which starred Moore’s wife and daughter.

A couple of weeks ago Moore unveiled another great album track, “Lodi,” a hearty cover of the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic that turned 50 years old this year. Moore takes the song and makes it his own, expertly translating it into the language of traditional Country music.

Moore and his band will play this Saturday (Oct. 5) at legendary Northern Kentucky honky tonk Bobby Mackey’s in honor of the album’s release. Showtime is 8 p.m.

Later this month, Moore picks up his grueling touring regimen for an extensive run of shows that will take him to Texas, Arizona and Florida, along with dates throughout the Midwest.
