The Curly Organ (aka Donal McConnon) will be a guest musician at Pat’s Fireside Folk Session on Sunday, December 8, at 4.30 p.m.

Each Sunday at the Hot Spot Music Club, there is a celebration of the great artists of the folk era to the present day, from country, jazz ‘n blues and ragtime, to Irish traditional songs and ballads, covering all genres of music in an acoustic format.

Hosts are Pat, Mick, and Bert, with invited guest musicians each week.

McConnon has successfully merged his everyday experiences with record production. He regularly has conversations with strangers and has developed an all-encompassing live performance, making use of hand-drawn visuals and guided meditations.

Hailing from the windy-western Irish town of Galway, Donal is perhaps better known there as a key component of the nationally-loved prog-folk outfit, My Fellow Sponges. The Curly Organ takes you gently by the hand and guides you calmly through a museum of human experiences (both the extreme and the banal). This singer-songwriter is eager to do more than put on a show.
