Testing the discipline, honesty, and self-control of their children, several parents have put their kids to the #FruitSnackChallenge going viral on social media. Kids are given their favorite snacks and told not to touch it until their parents or guardians come back.
Secretly recorded, children are watched to see if they fail the test or exercise commendable restraint. Nigerian musician, Tiwa Savage, uploaded her version in which she put her son, Jam Jam, and Davido’s daughter, Imade to the test. The heartwarming video made rounds on the internet but it not only tugged at hearts, but it also revealed a deeper friendship amongst the children of Nigerian musicians behind the scenes.
Many lauded Tiwa Savage’s parenting skills as her son, Jam Jam exhibited empathy in the short clip exhibited. He cautioned Imade not to eat the candy because “Mummy would be sad” showing a certain level of obedience that grows from a compassionate upbringing rather than parenting done by implementing fear. Something equally notable is the strong relationship amongst Nigerian musicians that goes beyond social media banter and musical collaborations. It is seen that a strong bond is being fostered between their children as well.
“Don’t eat it or else mummy will be sad “
When you raise a child intentionally with empathy, they’ll listen to you because they trust you and respect your feelings not because they fear you. Instilling fear isn’t the only way to command a listening ear from children. https://t.co/lzdAmKT5My

This is not the first instance we have seen about this adorable pairing together. In October at the 2019 Nickfest, Imade Adeleke, daughter of Davido and Sophia Momodu, and Jam Jam, son of Tiwa Savage and estranged husband Tee-Billz were both seen having a splendid time. They exuded an energetic countenance, both of them decked in expensive designer Dior and Balmain outfits.
These sights provide insight into a context in which Nigerian musicians set playdates for their children. The comradeship amongst them, extending to future generations. It lays an imprint of a strong network these kids are growing up to have.
If they do decide to follow their parent’s footsteps in the entertainment industry, it would be a seamless journey in which they already have a strong network of like-minded people.
