Greenwich Health and Wellness Expo focuses on music, movement, laughter

The annual Greenwich Health and Wellness Expo returns Thursday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Road, Old Greenwich.

Visitors to the event for older adults and caregivers can expect music, movement and laughter. Attendees can walk through the informational exhibits set up at the event.

A free continental breakfast and coffee will be served from 9 to 10:45 a.m., as well as free lunch at 11:45 a.m. for the first 200 attendees.

The featured event at noon will see the Hollyrock Entertainment host and DJ having attendees laughing and playing Name That Tune, Simon Says and Hula Hoops with his Celebrity Big Heads.

The expo will offer flu, pneumonia and shingles vaccines; fees may be charged depending on client’s medical insurance. Residents 65 or older must bring their Medicare Advantage ID or Medicare Part B cards. Otherwise, the fees are $35 for seasonal vaccines, $55 for high doses and higher charges for other kinds of vaccinations. Checks will be accepted, made out to the town of Greenwich. Credit cards and Medicaid will not be accepted.
