CHICAGO, IL, November 15, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ — Chicago-area songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mary Lemanski makes her first foray into rap music with her brand-new single “Pound To The Beat” on Painted Girl Records, which will be released November 22nd, 2019. The track displays yet another layer of her profoundly creative musical life, one that’s already included classical music, punk rock, and singer/songwriter efforts. “Pound To The Beat” is a fully-woke statement from a politically progressive and involved woman who isn’t afraid to speak her piece over an old-school hip-hop beat. It’s a breath of fresh, intelligent air that’ll take you to school and make you dance at the same time. “Pound To The Beat” by Mary Lemanski needs to be the very next song you hear. It’s a strong new single from one of the Midwest’s most irresistible artists.

MARY LEMANSKI’S STORY:

Vocalist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Mary Lemanski’s first gig came at age 11 when she filled in for the organist at her Catholic school’s church for a funeral. She was pulled out of class, aced the service, got paid $40, and was set on the path to becoming the musician she is today. These days, Mary is a fully-developed Pop/Rock/Alternative artist in her own right, excels at keyboards, vocals, drum programming, guitar, and bass, and writes songs that have been compared to Blondie, Tori Amos, and Carly Simon. She’s been releasing original music online since 1999 and shows no sign of slowing down, with a new single, album, and summer tour planned for 2020. Her unique style blends Pop with Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Blues, Funk, and Punk and those in the know feel she’s about to break out to a much larger audience.
