JLS tease huge music collaborations after devastating fans by ‘cancelling’ tour

JLS have teased they are working with songwriters that have worked with some of the biggest names in British pop as they plan their triumphant return to the music scene.

Original members Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Oritse Williams thrilled fans back in February when they said they would be returning to the music world after splitting up in 2013.

On Friday, the boys teased a brand new song as they hinted they were unleashing new tunes for their adoring fans as they took to social media to share video of themselves heading into a recording studio.

And the lads have revealed they have been penning tracks with LostBoy, who worked with Lewis Capaldi on Someone You Loved, Wayne Hector, who wrote with One Direction, and Mike Sabath, who has produced tracks for Little Mix.

Oritse told The Sun of their new songs: “We’re really excited about developing a new kind of JLS 2.0 sound.”

While Marvin added: “The music is still ultimately JLS — those pop, R&B, anthemic vibes.”

The boys also joked that they hope Simon Cowell will now sign them for a record deal having previously rejected them after they came second in The X Factor back in 2008, with JB saying: “He’s got to make us an offer we can’t refuse.”
