A man is in a critical condition after he was stabbed at an ‘unlicensed music event’.

The man was found suffering from stab wounds at the scene in Hackney, east London, this morning.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: ‘Police were called by London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 6.54am on Sunday, 18 August to reports of a stabbing at Hackney Marshes, E9.

‘Police and LAS attended. At the scene a male, no further details, was found suffering from stab wounds.

‘The injured male was taken by LAS to an east London hospital. His condition is currently critical.

‘A second male, aged 20s, was discovered unconscious nearby.

‘The unconscious male was taken by LAS to an east London hospital. His condition is deemed not life threatening.

‘At this early stage it is believed that the two males are known to each other.

‘Officers from Central East command investigate. There have been no arrests.

‘Enquiries continue.’
