WEBVTT WEEKENDS OF GOOD FOOD, MUSIC AND LAST FALL, BOURBON AND BEYOND PROMISED GOOD MUSIC AND GOOD DRINKS, BUT MOTHER NATURE HAD OTHER PLANS. HEAVY RAINS FORCED THE CANCELLATION OF SUNDAY’S SHOWS. AS THE RAIN CONTINUED, UNSAFE CONDITIONS AT CHAMPIONS PARK FORCED LOUDER THAN LIFE TO DO THE SAME THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND. SO WHEN CITY AND TOURISM OFFICIALS APPROACHED CONCERT PROMOTERS ABOUT COMMITTING FOR A THIRD MUSIC FESTIVAL, DANNY WIMMER PRESENTS WASN’T EXACTLY SOLD ON THE IDEA. >> THIS WAS A LONG TIME COMING AND THEY WILL TELL YOU THE AMOUNT OF TIMES WE SAID NO, NO WE CAN’T DO WITH THEIR AND THEY WERE NOT HAVING IT. THE ONLY ANSWER WAS YES. >> BUT THANKS TO A NEW LOCATION, 600 ACRES NEAR THE EXPO CENTER BEING LABELED HIGHLAND FESTIVAL GROUNDS, PROMOTERS ANNOUNCED THE COUNTRY MUSIC ARTISTS WHO WILL BE HERE FOR THE NEWEST FESTIVAL HOMETOWN RISING. THE 2 DAY FESTIVAL COMES TO LOUISVILLE SEPTEMBER 14 AND 15. THE NEXT TWO WEEKENDS, BOURBON AND BEYOND AND LOUDER THAN LIFE WILL COMPLETE THE “TRI-FESTA.” TOURISM OFFICIALS EXPECT A BIG BOOST TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY AND THE MAYOR SAYS, IT IS JUST ONE MORE THING TO PUT LOUISVILLE ON THE MAP. >> THERE WILL BE NO OTHER CITY ANYWHERE THAT WILL BE ABLE TO MATCH THIS TYPE OF ENTERTAINMENT AND F

The Kentucky Exposition Center is getting prepped to host three jam-packed weekends of music.First in the lineup, a new country music festival called Hometown Rising.It takes place Sept. 14-15 at the Highland Festival Grounds,situated between Phillips Lane, I-65 and Watterson Expressway.Headliners includes Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Little Big Town.The schedule was just released.Click here for the complete schedule.Saturday:Sunday:The festival opens at noon each day.
