Led by Kevin Kerby, who got his start in Ho Hum, Mulehead released its debut album, Never Again, in 1998. He also records as a solo artist and with another backing band, Battery.

The Stardust Big Band holds its monthly dance at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Crystal Ballroom of the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa in Hot Springs. Admission is $10; free for students in grades K-12.

•Those Pretty Wrongs, along with opening act Isaac Alexander, will perform at 8 p.m. Sunday at White Water Tavern. Admission is $15.

Those Pretty Wrongs — who took their name from Shakespeare’s Sonnet 41 — consists of Jody Stephens, the drummer in legendary Memphis rock band Big Star, and Luther Russell, who led the band The Freewheelers.

• The Salty Dogs duo will perform at 8 p.m. Sunday at Four Quarter Bar . Admission is free.

• Tank and the Bangas, with opening acts The Suffers and Alfred Banks, will perform at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Rev Room. Admission is $20.

WEDNESDAY

Samantha Crain, Kierston White and Eliza Bee will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday at White Water Tavern. Admission is $7.

• DeVotchKa & The Joy Formidable will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rev Room. Tickets range from $20 to $50.

DeVotchKa, based in Denver, is a four-member band that takes its name from the Russian word for “girl.” The band released its first album, SuperMelodrama, in 2000, and has since released 10 more, one of which was the soundtrack for the movie Little Miss Sunshine in 2006.
