NORFOLK — On Friday, June 30, the inaugural concert of the Yale School of Music’s 2017 Emerging Artist Showcase took place at the Norfolk Music Shed. Admission was free to this casual concert where the attendees sat around the stage in an intimate setting. There were also people live streaming the event through a web cam.

The concert was called the New Music Recital and featured five new pieces composed by Yale students who are under the tutelage of New Music Workshop Director Martin Bresnick.
