Indiana recording label Jagjaguwar may have a big Grammys night in its future, thanks to four nominations announced today for Bon Iver’s “i,i” album.

Bon Iver, brainchild of Wisconsin singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, is in the running for album of the year, record of the year (for “Hey, Ma”), best alternative album and best recording package.

Vernon has issued four Bon Iver albums on Bloomington-based Jagjaguwar, an independent company that’s part of the Secretly Group with fellow labels Secretly Canadian and Dead Oceans. In 2012, Bon Iver won Grammy trophies in the categories of best new artist and best alternative alternative album (for “Bon Iver”).

Alexandia, Indiana-based Gaither Music Group also fared well in Grammy nominations, collecting three.

Gloria Gaynor, known for disco-era smash “I Will Survive,” landed her first-ever gospel nominations for work on Gaither Music Group release “Testimony.”

Gaynor’s “Testimony” is nominee in the category of best roots gospel album, and her song “Talkin’ ‘Bout Jesus” is a nominee in the category of best gospel performance/song.

Fellow Gather Music Group artist Joseph Habedank will compete with Gaynor in the best roots gospel album category. Hadebank’s album is titled “Deeper Oceans.”

Other Indiana connections at the 62nd annual Grammys ceremony, which will air Jan. 26 on CBS:

Jim Gaffigan, who grew up in Chesterton, Indiana, and attended Purdue University, is a best comedy album contender for his “Quality Time” release. Gaffigan is now a five-time Grammy nominee.Trumpet player Randy Brecker, who attended Indiana University, is a nominee in the category of best improvised jazz solo. “Sozinho” is Breaker’s 19th nomination. He’s a six-time winner.Although Indianapolis tailor Jerry Lee Atwood is not a Grammy nominee, he made the Western suit worn by Lil Nas X in “Old Town Road (Official Movie)” — nominated in the category of best music video.
