LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, September 26, 2018 — Who will be the next Maxim Magazine Cover Girl? Meet model and music artist Amber Diamond who is the newest member of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Hollywood Season 5 reality show.

“I am MAXIM. I represent the focus of the magazine,” said Diamond. “I am a young, beautiful, confident black girl and I am what is missing.” The next Maxim Magazine cover girl selected receives the grand prize of $25,000, a lavish photoshoot with legendary photographer Gilles Bensimon and worldwide recognition as a Maxim Cover Girl. Votes for Amber Diamond in the Southeast Group 24 as Maxim Cover Girl ends Sept. 27 at 11 p.m. EDT for the Top 30 Round. The twelve states that make up the Southeast Region are South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky and Louisiana.

“Winning the Maxim coveted cover would open up doors not only for me but for the agency I wish to establish to help young girls follow their dreams without compromise,” said Diamond. “I am an Alabama native and with opportunities few and far in between, so many people from my hometown and across the country look up to me, always asking me how can they get to where I am and I really want to help.”

Diamond is no stranger to the public eye or the challenges that young women face when it comes to seeking success. “The grand prize money is great, but to be on the cover has a deeper meaning because it provides me with an international platform to make a difference,” said Diamond. “I want to represent for the young Black girls everywhere that were told they would not make it. I want to prove to everyone that if they work hard enough that they can make it. I want to share a positive message.”

Maxim Magazine has a circulation of about 9 million readers each month. Maxim Digital reaches more than 4 million unique viewers each month. Maxim magazine publishes 16 editions, sold in 75 countries worldwide.

While Diamond is about making business moves, she has a fun, creative side and shared some of her special talents. “My special talent is cooking. A lot of people don’t know but I am a really good chef,” said Diamond. “I also can do hair and makeup which can go far in the industry. Additionally, I am really good at hula hoop. I’d like to think of myself as a Jill of all trades.”

Helping Diamond be the next Maxim Cover Girl also will help military veterans. A portion of the voting proceeds will benefit Homes for Wounded Warriors Foundation. Last year’s donation helped build five new homes for disabled veterans in need. Maxim’s chosen recipient, Homes for Wounded Warrior’s mission is to raise money to build and remodel handicap accessible homes to suit the individual needs of injured veterans.

Diamond is also known for her appearances on various reality shows, including “Fix My Mom,” with her successful entrepreneurial mom, Shun Love. She was a host on MTV’s “Binge Thinking,” and as a “Wild ‘N Out” girl on Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out” also on MTV. Diamond started modeling when she was 15.
