NEEMFest 2019 (the NorthEast Electro-Music Festival) will be held on September 6, 7 and 8, 2019 at the Center for the Arts of Homer, in Homer, New York.

The event continues the Electro-Music annual festival tradition, now in its 15th year. The performance-centric festival features musicians and video artists who use electronic musical instruments, along with hardware and software tools.

Alex Ball

Along with three full days of electronic music concerts, there will be workshops, seminars, demonstrations and the Synthesizer Petting Zoo,” an opportunity for people of all ages to have a hands-on experience with synthesizers, drum machines and other types of electronic music gear.

“The community welcomes all levels of artists from beginners to decades-long veterans; I find the whole thing inspiring,” says media producer Rebekkah Hilgraves, who will be broadcasting the entire event via RadioSpiral.net for the second year.

“Three days of electronic music, compelling seminars and a friendly atmosphere — I could not ask for anything more,” says participant Gianni Intili.

Bill Vencil

Special guests this year include Bill Vencil of the Chords of Orion YouTube channel and Alex Ball, the YouTube synth musician and documentarian, who recently released “Land of the Rising Sound—A Roland Retrospective”.

Other events include a NEEMFest 2019 Raffle, with a 1010music Blackbox as the prize.
