ROCK legends, pop stars and local favourites are strumming up interest for Caloundra Music Festival as the line-up is locked in.

The latest artists to join the high-calibre talent list for the October long weekend festival includes ARIA-winning singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell, rock legend James Reyne, pop-rock band GANGgajang, Hat Fitz and Cara, Hayley Grace and The Bay Collective, Volcanic Lovers, Karlou, Bullhorn and Coast locals The Dreggs.

James Reyne performs at Townsville ahead of the Caloundra Music Festival.

Festival director Richie Eyles said Conrad Sewell was a big drawcard for the younger festival punters, while seasoned performer James Reyne and GANGgajang would satisfy the Aussie rock sentiment that always worked well with a Coast crowd.

“Brisbane-based Bullhorn has a great following here on the Sunshine Coast and will be a hit with their catchy original tunes and their big brass sound for the groovers and shakers that love to dance,” Mr Eyles said.

Homegrown Indi-Folk duo The Dreggs are debuting their new song You and Me next month, and will be honing their live performance skills around New South Wales and Victoria before taking to the stage at Caloundra.

Tickets are available at the Caloundra Music Festival website.

An event initiative of Sunshine Coast Council, the festival is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland.
