Strictly Come Dancing fans hit back after Catherine Tyldesley’s dance received a ‘mixed bag’ of comments from the judges on Halloween Week.

Fans complained that the song choice let them down on Saturday night’s show.

Cath and her professional partner Johannes Radebe danced the Cha Cha Cha to the Steps song Scared Of The Dark, performed live by the Strictly band, and some viewers say it was to blame for her losing her timing.

“Love watching these two, but think the music choice let them down tonight!” tweeted one fan of the BBC One dance show .

“Non cha cha beat with terrible song choice ruined it for her. Shame as I really like her,” said another.

“Sort out the song choices Strictly. None so far have gone with the style of dance. Ruining the show,” said a third viewer.

And another said: “The music has to be the worse choice ever for a Halloween show!

“Some of the songs..(beats..pick ups..drops etc) are ridiculous. Too hard for many, esp non-pros, to ‘get with’ inside a week! Just proved by Catherine losing her timing..way too hard to get back. But great effort.”

Former Coronation Street star Cath was cheered on by her co-stars as she took to the dance floor on Halloween Week.

Georgia and Jane play Eva’s sisters Toyah and Leanne.

Head judge Shirley Ballas said: ” Too many little mistakes, but you’re talented, you’re lovely and you give it 100 per cent.”

Bruno Tonioli commented: “Something happened with the timing, something went wrong.

“Your confidence disappeared, it doesn’t matter, you’re an actress, play it big, sell it.”

And a scathing Craig Revel Horwood said it was a dance of ‘two halves.’
