Adele is handling her divorce from Simon Konecki extremely well and is feeling “perky.” She’s also apparently ready to release new music.

In April this year, Adele’s reps announced she and her now-ex-husband, Simon Konecki, divorced after eight years together. At the time, her rep said they were both committed to raising their son together and would’t make any more comments on the matter. Adele, who tends to stay out of the spotlight, has done exactly that, which has made everyone wonder how she’s dealing with the split and if her fans can expect new music anytime soon. After all, she is the queen of turning heartbreak into lyrical gold.

Thankfully, People’s sources have come in clutch and shed some light on Adele’s current situation. She’s doing amazing, of course. Specifically, she’s feeling “perky as hell,” which sounds like a weird Lizzo cover, but I digress.

Right now, Adele is splitting her time between the U.K. and Los Angeles and lives with her son. The source added that she “co-parents with Simon, and they seem to get along and spend time together with Angelo as well.”

For those who are looking for her to bear her soul and give them something to cry to, 1) She doesn’t owe anyone anything, and 2) You’re in luck because it sounds like she’s going to do exactly that.

The source explained, “She is definitely getting ready both mentally and physically to promote new music. It seems it will happen later this year.” (Fans have been anticipating new music since June when a fake promo photo made the rounds on Instagram and Twitter, but better late than never!)

“She talks about last year as a very difficult year, and she’s said in the past that creating new music is almost like therapy,” People’s source said. “You can tell that she is ready to share with her fans.”

31, where you at!?
